:wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo::wooo:
Picked up our Hymer 694 today and brought it home, after 10 mins driving i was well settled in.
Reversed into driveway at 1st attempt, admit i was a bit worried about doing that as it's been a long time since i have driven a biggish vehicle - no probs::bigsmile:::bigsmile:
Spent 4 hours in the rain playing with everything until i was told to come in as i was making tea.:RollEyes::RollEyes:
Hope it's dry tomorrow as there are lots of things to do.
Getting it all kitted out for our first trip up to the lakes on the 11th and then we will find out what we have forgotten. :Doh:

Brilliant Paul...

I am delighted for you... I remember the same joy when I got my Hymer after waiting so very, very long (nearly 44 years... :ROFLMAO:)

Even today... over four years on... I keep reminding myself how wonderful it is... it is too easy to forget and start taking it for granted...

Enjoy it for all it is worth...

Congratulations on your purchase. Your posting will make a lot of funsters think back to there early days, me included. None of us should forget how lucky we are to be able to enjoy this lifestyle. Our first Hymer was a 654 which delaminated but that was a problem with some of them then. After many years with C class vans I still have the yearning for another A class, one day.
Anyway good luck with your maiden outing, I hope all goes well for you.

Wow - looks huge! Enjoy your first trip out. :)

Seemed huge when i first drove it, 7metre - 6 berth, but once i got going it didn't seem so bad, until i get in a tight spot that is:Eeek::Eeek:

Many, many years ago i had a PSV licence but well out of practice but they say it's like riding a bike :Doh:

No wonder you are pleased what a great van to start your motorhomeing off in, just take your time don't let anyone rush you and soon it will be second nature driving larger vehicles again. Enjoy :thumb:

Snap Paul.

Enjoy your new carriage, I notice your awning opens over your heater as mine does.

I am going to hook a Carbon Monoxide detector next to mine to keep an eye on it.

Is your Left Hand Drive?:Smile::Smile:

PS remember to get the tag axles greased

Oh yes Busby (his new name from the family) is a leftie.
Wife decided that we (me):winky::winky: should take all the curtains and nets off to wash, didn't realise how many there are and how fiddly the clips are. Gotta put hem back on so that will be fun:Eeek:

I thought about getting a carbon monoxide detector which could be hung inside when we use the safari room.
Already spoke to a mate in the pub who said he has the big jacks at work and the grease gun so whenever i'm ready. Wont leave it too long.
