'So my Ariel is redundant because we don't watch TV while away, and now you want me to fit a bloody great dome which will also not be used.

What happens if you can't get line of sight to a satellite, or adverse weather conditions impact signal (maybe reduced slightly with a dome)? Do you have a backup aerial, such as one of those little Avtex ones?

On my own van there has only been two occasions where I could not get satellite in 2yrs and that was because I had no option to move. In hindsight I would not have fitted one . On this van it was knackered and not worth the expense of replacing it and also improved cupboard space.
