We have both her (eldest SD has Chromecast and we have fire HD stick. Got the fire because it was offered to me dead cheap at launch.. As a prime customer with a kindle fire we get more use of the fire than others but in those circumstances the remote control makes it much more usable

I have a Chromecast

Sometimes it works perfectly other times it stutters and freezes which may be either the device, my wifi or the tablet I use?

Overall for £30 it's worth a punt

It needs a wifi connection to work though unless some techie geek has thought of a workaround so not much use in the MH so I've just ordered a wired connection to connect my tablet direct to the HDMI on my Avtex tv for this use

Got them both , never got much sense out of the chrome thingy but the firestick is something else, especially if you get one of the ones with kodi on it, unbelievable what they will get.
