Just discovered that if you click on menu button (top left of screen) a drop down menu appears with various options.............

Select Traffic and wherever you are in UK or Europe all the slow moving roads are highlighted!

Very usefull if you are travelling somewhere

Wonder how many are now checking? According to my map there's only light traffic in much of the UK, not sure I believe that.

I wonder why anyone would still use a paper map

Since 2008 & many years tugging
It is very good, real time and usually spot on, linked to traffic sensors on major roads.

Can you still get paper maps?:D

Because it never crashes, it does not need recharging and does not need an internet connection.

Sorry, I'm not convinced

Never had my iPhone crash
The battery lasts all day
No internet connection required either if you use download maps.

A paper map can't show you the fastest route
It can't tell you if there is a traffic delay
It can't tell you how many miles to go and how long it will take.

Plus it's much nicer looking out of the window than having your head stuck in a map and a lot less stressful too

Google Maps Traffic is SUPPOSED to be realtime but over the years we have noticed it is about 10-30 minutes behind we have been travelling on a road showing as congested but it was totally clear and running free many times
