Google Maps section ? (1 Viewer)

I would like to suggest a forum or section to list Google Maps links as posting in a normal thread they eventually get lost in the archives.

These could be maps of :

1. POIs, i.e, LPG in Spain, Aires, Club sites, Ski resorts, etc ,
2. Members trips.
3. Interesting maps you have found.

Members could also create new ones with open collaboration so that our pool of motorhome knowledge is shared by all.

It's just an idea, I think Gmaps are a great resource and underutilised.

Comments and suggestions ?

Having just travelled from here to Zillertal in Austria (thru Germany) and back (thru France) we realised how little info the books have. We used Vicarious books, Acsi and the iCampsites iPhone app. With all of them we realised how frustrating the lack of info was. At several sites we moved on for one reason or another. Often the info was out of date. It left me wondering when a decent app will come out with an offline map, allowing search to be date filtered (eg site info confirmed in last year) etc. I would gladly give up 2gb of space on my iPhone to hold the info.
