has anyone tried Google Chromecast in the motorhome?

Just like a WiFi set up at home. The router (Alpha R36) sets up a WiFi hotspot which allows internet access via a USB antenna if you wish. Cast from any device to the Chromecast/,telly via that.

I have used both Chromecast and the Amazon Firestick with my Iboost in the Van.

Providing you have a really good connection to the internet
Probably won't work unless you have WiFI

the google chromecast is a media streaming device that allows you to show videos on your tv from your device, phone, tablet or laptop

if you want to stream from the internet, you need a good stable an fast connection. pretty difficult on many sites as many restrict speed to individual devices or there are so many others streaming that the network crawls to a halt

We can watch programmes we download without any issues, irrespective if being connected to the web

Bought Google Chromecast couple of days ago from Currys online for £18 with free delivery, received it today.

Have had chromecast working indoors no prob ,just put it in tv in motorhome,tried to connect to my ipad cellular(3g) but it dont seem to work???

I have just found out that you need a mifi to connect to as you cannot connect direct to your cellular ipad?

As I understand it
If its already on your laptop you only need the chrome cast dongle thingy to send it to your TV not the iboost,
The iboost gets stuff from the Net to your laptop, or from the Net straight to your TV if the connection is fast enough
I only buy Samsung TVs tablets phones etc and they have their own mirrowing system
