Hi. Just received tax reminder for MH. The MH is finally at Bailey of Bristol being repaired after our accident with the HGV on the M6 last May. We uprated the MH from 3500 to 3700 in July last year (even though we couldn't use it). We hope to get it back from Bailey in March. The reminder from DVLC says the vehicle needs a Goods Vehicle Test certificate from 1st April. Is this usual as the vehicle is only a year old in March? If we need it does anyone know the cost?

Err, what have they put of the logbook (or whatever it's called now) - should be PHG I think? In which case isn't it still 3 years?

Thank you, looked at the info then phoned DVLA who in turn gave me the number for DVSA who confirmed its a normal MOT after 3 years.

Typical DVSA cock-up.

As the V5c states PRIVATE HEAVY GOODS it needs an MOT at 3 years old from new and the MOT class is group 4...the same as a car.
Any MOT garage with a lift strong enough and a roof high enough can test it.
And road tax is currently £165 pa
