Today we had 6 new tyres fitted to our Dodge Ram.

Didn't really need a whole new set but found a bargain on ebay - 320771401796
£50.00 each. Kept one of ours for the spare. We went to pick them up in Castle Donnington and he charged us £40.00 each. We then took them around the corner to have them fitted and the guy who fitted them asked how much we paid and he then told us if we knew of anyone else wanting them he had some at £40.00 each.

These have been taken off new Chevvys that have been imported into this country this year and the company who have purchased them have changed them for monster wheels and tyres.

More than happy with our purchase and want to pass info. of this bargain onto others - only problem is they are not a common tyre, 245/75/17.

They are as they say on the ad. 121 (E) rating, road tread, Firestone. Ours still have painted lines and moulding bobbles so can tell they are new.

If any one is interested in the £40.00 ones, we can pm the guys no. to you.

Thanks guys for the offer of tea and a place to camp. We left Suffolk on Monday and camped at Woodedge Campsite (where the Royal Wedding meet was held) to spend some time with Cheyne and Lynne before they head up north for the Goth weekend as we had arranged to have the interior refurbed on the demountable by CareAvan which is near Birmingham and only 20 miles from them.

We had some spare time yesterday so decided to head up to Castle Donnington to get the tyres and get them fitted, so it has worked out well.

We are now camped out the back of CareAvan for them to start work tomorrow.

Seem a really nice company to deal with, can't do enough for you, and a good price too.

    Have a good weekend all.

I was told on another forum that US tyres are not strictly legal as they have an American code on them as apposed to an EU code, not sure though ,perhaps someone with more info than me would like to comment.
