now then! there must be a funster or two out there that can 'do the math' on how many spuds make one amp at 12volts. and are reds better than white's?

A potato will give about 1.1v open circuit voltage but this falls rapidly if you apply a load. A single potato generates about 1ma from memory.
The internal resistance of a potato is the biggest problem.

So you would need 12 in series and then 1,000 of these in parallel but only if you ignore internal resistance.

If you were to put multiple bits of zinc and copper in each spud you could reduce the number of potatoes. so on that basis it depends on how big each spud was to how many you can fit in each one.

This is back of the fag packet calcs as I really don't think it is worth doing properly :(

The downside with this plan is that a potato battery won't deter other motorhomers from parking really close to you like a generator and Metallica at high volume does...
