This has been a must go to place since I was 'so high'.
So going from Scarborough, anyone know of a good, preferablyCCandC,site on't way.
Steve wants to do it in one day and I think what's the point! A Two night stay somewhere nice on the way. Similar on the way back.

Moffat C&CC site is just off the M74. Loch Ness shores C&CC site at Foyers is also an excellent site right on the shores of Loch Ness and only about 12miles from Inverness

    Loch Ness shores C&CC site.

Western route - Moffat C&CC is just a few minutes off the M74 and about halfway Scarborough/ Inverness.
Eastern Route - Beadnell Bay C&CC just under halfway
Both very nice sites. But very busy during the holidays so perhaps book ahead?

When you are at Loch Ness shores if you leave the site and turn right, go through the village and just as you exit look on your left and you will see Cameron's tea room, excellent food, personally recommend the porridge and full Scottish breakfast. No wonder I have a keg instead of a six pack.

Apart from my lovely wife Elaine, Morag Cameron is the only other woman who knows how I like my sausages cooked. Is there a greedy fat git emoticon?

And if you're under the influence of "mind expanding substances", you might very well see the monster. :D
    Enjoy.

We visited some years ago. (y) Really hot summer. We went for a swim in the loch, but ended up in a terrible argument with some strange types who threw a large net over the wife, and kept addressing her as 'Nessie'. :(

Love Moffat, haven't been this year but as I'm moving over the border think I'll be visiting my favourite Scottish sites more often.

If Beadnell Bay is convenient it would be worth looking to see if one of the many THSs is on at the time you are going.
