Meant to pass this one a while ago but forgot.

Go Outdoors offer a good discount on Calor and Calor light for anyone having access to a store nearby.

You need to shell out £5.00 for a so called Discount Card valid for 12 months (any family member can use it) which gives discounts on all their products making their calor prices very attractive. See link

.

Apologies if already posted. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Wow..good find. I was just about to post that I paid about £27 last year for Calor Gas lite at Go outdoors and actually paid less at Caravan Club about £25 for my next refil. At £19.80 this is much cheaper....

Or can it be found cheaper elsewhere???

thanks :thumb:

I ordered 3 times last year in response to GoOutdoors calorlite price and they never managed to get stock.
I've not paid more than £21.99 at 3 CC sites so surprised to hear that one is charging more.

Despite my low usage I've just fitted this so the lite will probably outlast the van as an emergency backup only

I bought one from the local calor centre last week for £21.99 so the go outdoors price is not that great a saving if you have to pay £5 for the card.

agreed. i do have the card though, so for me personally better deal. if cc though £22 rather than £25ish what i thought had paid, then not a massive saving. not worth a special trip anyway...

21.99 is Calors recommended price. dealers can charge what they like. CC charge the recommended 21.99 (cash only)

I checked with several local suppliers who were all asking £21.99 so, since I have a Go Outdoors membership card, checked the website of the nearest branch which asked if I wished to check if they were in stock. It did show them as having stock so I decided to go there for my discount. When I arrived they did not have stock and, by their admission, had not had stock for some time. No one seemed interested in the fact that the website was giving false information. :Angry:

Yes that was my experience as posted earlier. They can advertise a low price all year long while they have none

We actually use the card for more than gas so DO make savings especially on clothing and the discount on 2 pairs of Craghoppers Kiwi trousers last moth was almost double the £5 card price. Just trying to pass on what I thought was a reasonable discount, obviously it hasn't been well received:Angry:

i do have a calor lite as a spare but am reluctant to use it due to its refill cost.
