Have got old TomTom, had it about 7 years and cannot renew mapping on it, so new device needed been looking at Garmin 560lt anyone out there ever used this model, if so what do you think, and what do you think of Garmin in general over TomTom

Dont have that model but do have a Garmin Nuvi 300 series cant remember the exact number.We have had it for about 4 years now and really like it and paid for the lifetime maps last year so can update for as long as it last now.

There are sometimes like every sat nav it takes me or try's to take me wrong way so as with all sat navs common sense is needed.

A few years ago it was a poor choice and the TT was better by miles, but I think that TomTom are losing it. The software they are using is clunky, and the soft keyboard is pathetic, it can take an age to input a postcode and choose a destination because of errors, the screen calibration is not good for fat fingers and input ill thought out. I won't buy another.
