am i seeing things,wearked up Spanish side of the border and walked intoGibralter got the bus into the centre,and we saw two garages showing .88cents a ltr for diesel,can that be right , if so i am nearly empty so worth a trip in in the morning to fill up on way to Portugal.ta

I wouldn't go in the morning the traffic will be awful. I believe the best time to go is in the evening after the rush hour.

I worked with a fellow who delivered to morrisons there and they went on with empty tanks and got 2 receipts. One for 200 litres to show at the border when returning and another for the rest. They always filled up there because it was cheaper.

Yes it was 75 pence per ltr today in Gibraltan £ very good price we got there about 09.30 this morning hardly any traffic coming out at around 13.00 long queues waiting to get in.

you can have upto 1500litres in fitted tanks and cross borders no probs . must be plumbed in though . had three big tanks on my last artic unit . even now i can fill in gib and get to santander then top up to return to uk. used to fill leaving morocco and get back to santander at one time .

He told me that the spainish guards checked him on the way out. Never done that work myself so only going by what he said. I know they had big tanks on their motors. Mind you it was a few years back now so could be different now. Bet that it's not uk trucks running down there now anyway.

loads uk trucks running to gib . you do one and a half trips a week.
used to be liverpool to gib was the favourite with fridge trucks .
the customs usually do check on the way out ,they dont like jerry cans but big diesel tanks is ok.
there are alot of uk trucks running up and down even these days .
