since 2006 ( I think ! )
Probably needs a linkage kit.. Not expensive and not hard to do, but a bit fiddly to say the least ! ( Or it is for old banana fingers here !! )

I trust Dave and he should know but I would also look at the simplest possibilities first like clutch travel and worn linkage.

if you can get it in and out of gear easily without the engine running then it isn't likely to be linkage, if it only difficult with engine running then likely to be clutch,
but as dave said check gear oil for water contamination,

Not long enough!
If it is water in the oil, make sure to fix the scuttle so it doesn't carry on pouring it in:xThumb:

How would water get into the gearbox ?
Does it cause permanant damage or can it be corrected by a drain down and refill ?

There's been a few posts on here about this fault, water runs from the windscreen onto the scuttle and then drips onto the gearbox and gets it's way inside. You need to fit a deflector plate over the gearbox.

Got this problem sorted plenty of WD 40 and grease on gearbox linkage

We have a very friendly mot guy and when the van goes in for mot he does this in the price while he's underneath plus if you grip the gator thing around the gear stick and pull it up you will find some more linkages which benefit from a bit of grease.

Just been thro all that mylarky, Water in G/Box, buggers up the Syncro on 3rd&4th (so getting gears is hard), and your speedo drive too, you need to drop the box to fix it. There is a Pug modification to stop the water dripping in your G/Box (about £28-£30) takes the drips to the other side of the engine compartment.

My Speedo drive knackered out, luckily, before there was any damage done to the Syncro.
