Can anyone with a Bailey 740"help?

My local approved workshop is going to fit a gasit bottle for me. I want an external filler and have bought this and a 1.5 metre pipe.

Can anyone show me where theirs is fitted?

My workshop want to fit an in locker filler or if I want the external filler, to take pipe through floor of gas locker and want me to get a suitable elbow. There is no skirt to fit it to on the bailey.

I understand from other threads that people have external fillers fitted to 740s at about height of top of gas locker, if single do they have pipe routed?

Help would be appreciated before I capitulate and send for the in locker filler kit.

Can't help with your model but I took the decision to have a locker fill point rather than external because no matter how good the fitting is, that could interfere with the integrity of the Moho insulation

I didn't want to be grovelling around skirts (ooer missus). I had ours fitted in the corner of the rounded area adjacent to the locker. It just fits neatly into the space and gives access directly into the gas locker. No problems associated with either internal fittings or movement of locker door.

No pictures because we’ve changed vans - but our old 740 had a dealer-installed Gaslow system with the filler in the skirt, just in front of the gas locker. There certainly was a skirt on our van, which was an Approach SE - but with the weight of an LPG pump on it did flex a bit!

As above. Fitted mine in the skirt beneath the gas locker. Filling hose went through the drop vent after trimming the plastic grill.

I'm awaiting a price from a local mobile fitter who normally fits Gasit bottles but although I haven't checked I want, and would expect, an external fill point to the left of the gas locker door where the larger bottle sits and there appears to be room to accommodate the fitting. It's dark and too cold now but I will check in the morning.

Ours is an Alugas bottle fitted by Autogas 2000 to our Bailey Approach albeit ours is a 620. Attached is a photo of the filling point. A bracket has been fitted so it is very robust when putting the filler nozzle in.
Hope this helps.
