I should have said 1kg = 2 litres and then it'd be shoes and socks off time

Or it's half as heavy as water (y)

5 years, feel free to ask me about the Carado!!
:) We don't half have some smarty pants on here... :)
if it's a gasit system then it's only designed to hold 80% of the badged weight so 4.8 kg x 2 = 9.6 kg in total = 19 litres approx :Eeek::Eeek::Eeek::Eeek::cheers:

WRONG bottles hold their stated weight 80% is already accounted for.

Tanks yes you would be correct 50 litre tank holds 40

From Gaslow user instructions (same as Gasit)

IMPORTANT: FIRST FILLING ONLY. In some rare instances it is possible that on the FIRST FILL ONLY, the 80% shut- off may fail to activate. It is therefore IMPORTANT to pay attention when filling for the first time.

When using the 11kg cylinder - ensure your maximum fill is no more than 22.5litres. With a 6Kg cylinder - the maximum should be 12litres. If you are using a system employing 2 cylinders which are filled together, add the maximum volumes for the cylinders together. e.g. If you are using two 11Kg cylinders - your maximum fill should be no more than 45litres. If you are using an 11Kg and a 6Kg cylinder then your maximum would be no more than 34.5litres. Two 6Kg cylinders would be 24litres.

6 kg is 12 litres
You buy a 6KG bottle you get 12 litres of gas @£2 a litre
Why does this say 11kg? Not that I've used it.

That will be erring on the side of caution as it is not a legal legitimate means of refilling.
Bottles without automatic 80% shut off should not be refilled by joe public

This would appear to be correct, as I've just installed a 4 Hole - 36ltr (18kg GAS IT Plus refillable bottle.

When I took my m/h to be filled (first fill), the autogas pump automatically stopped after 29ltrs, which would back up the theory of GasIt only holding 80% of the capacity stated on the bottle.

Yes because their R67 bottles are effectively tanks unlike the old models and are rated in water capacity like a tank is. It explains that in the link you gave

"They are 36 ltr water capacity which means they hold 20% less than this amount due to automatic 80% float driven shut of filling valve in the tank, meaning you will never over fill the bottles even when only part of the gas has been used. They will always fill up to 80%"

Begs the question is the OP talking of regular Gasit bottles or R67?

Good link Jim (y)
So they say 11.5 litre to a 6KG while gaslow simply say stop at 12 litres if it don't stop itself
