I can't believe how long I've fretted over and read about the various systems available but the deed is done. Ordered a single 11kg Gas-It from motorcaravanning.co. uk who have been really helpful. Added the European adaptors and the online filters due to the problems some people are having. I love my Bessacarr e495 BUT the gas locker is like a Barbie accessory. Going to have to remove the door frame to get the 11kg in but it was that or 2x6kg for considerably more cash for only one more 1kg. Also went for in-locker filler as I do not trust myself to put a big hole in my van! If the French turn me away once in a while I can live with that. There are a lot of good people on this site whose input has been invaluable in enabling this idiot to make a decision!

Do you mind me asking what the whole kit as described has cost you? Am currently considering a 11kg refillable system for our new van, when we get it in the spring.

    Thanks, Mike

Mike, their website shows it all very clearly but 170 bottle, 20 adaptors and 30 online filter and 10 new pigtail so 230 in total. If my gas cupboard had allowed I would have added another bottle but i couldn't.

Why didn't you buy direct from Gasit?

Andy, at the risk of looking a complete bell-end, since I'm still new to all this, I did look at the gas-it website for comparison even though i wanted to use Neill because he answered all my questions, and mc.co. uk charge £168 for the basic 11kg inlocker fill bottle, whereas gas-it direct were charging £180. Filter also cheaper, P&P free over £100, and they were recommended somewhere. I think they also give 2.5% off for club membership. I assumed they bought in bulk and got bulk rates from Gas-it and with their own low cost set up could still make profit. Have I missed something?? Not unlike me!
