Hi,
Do we have any info on Gas availability in North and Southern Ireland.
In recent years there was a few places to fill up but none had adapters available( Different connections) and we could not find hardware stores that stocked them.
Staying for a month so will need to fill up at some point.
Any advice great fully received
PS. We were told because they were made of Brass they had 'Legs'
Best Regards Mac

We have bought our own adaptors to use with our refillable gas system so no problem there. However, be aware that gas in Ireland (N & S) is fairly scarce now, despite there being lots 'listed' as offering it, in reality there are not that many as there were actually stocking it as Autogas didn't really take off there. We were there this year for a month and if we saw gas on sale (and available!) we topped up.

We found a few stations advertising it for sale who still had the large storage tanks but had stopped doing it, and another that did still sell it but the pump was out of action! Fortunately on the latter occasion there was another garage about 2 miles away where we could get it (the other garage rang them for us to check before we made the journey:thumb:).

So, you can get it but it isn't as readily available as it is here or in mainland Europe.

Thanks Minx, seems a bit difficult, did you buy your adapters there or over here? the last time we were there I'm sure there was different sizes.
Best Regards Mac
