cannot get the water heater to work on gas,in my daughters 1997 Peugeot boxer change switch and complete heater, if I press the switch the green light comes on but as soon as I take my finger off the green light goes out, gas is coming to the heater but not sure what to check next any help greatly received thanks

Hi Jandy,

Can you tell us what brand and model of hot water system, eg, Truma Ultrastore, Truma Combi, Carver, Paloma, etc.
A photo of the control unit would be good.

Maybe the thermocouple has failed, thereby cutting off the gas supply to the burner, (safety measure).

If you did, it would have been interesting to know what the problem was.
