gas heater

    :cry: cannot get the water heater to work on gas,in my daughters 1997 Peugeot boxer change switch and complete heater, if I press the switch the green light comes on but as soon as I take my finger off the green light goes out, gas is coming to the heater but not sure what to check next any help greatly received thanks :cry:

    Have you taken the cover off the outside?

    Hi Jandy,

    Can you tell us what brand and model of hot water system, eg, Truma Ultrastore, Truma Combi, Carver, Paloma, etc.
    A photo of the control unit would be good.

    Maybe the thermocouple has failed, thereby cutting off the gas supply to the burner, (safety measure).

    if it has a thermocouple that would be my first check item.

    Jandy, did you ever get your daughter's water heater sorted out? :unsure:

    If you did, it would have been interesting to know what the problem was. :(
