Does anyone know anything about gas generators, it's a simple problem I hope. I just can't fill the tank.

Forgot to say, it has a female compression fitting (with non-return valve)on outside of van (looks about 22mm) which goes to tank underneath, not sure what fitting I need to connect.

Sounds like a home made, and dangerous, bodge job.

You really need a proper connector like this.
(Can also be used for BBQ etc)

Posting a picture of the fitting will help.
It sounds like you need an adapter.

@pappajohn I think he is after filling his gas tank not getting gas from it. But it is far from clear!

@Justin74 you need to give us more information on your set up and what you are trying to do. Also some photos would help.

Far from clear.....well that's an understatement for sure.

Almost, it screws into your existing connector and then you fit the gas pump onto it, as shown by the instructions on the pump. But that is only for the UK. Once you get in the rest of Europe there are three different ones that you will need to buy, depending upon what countries you are going to. Again you screw the relevant one in and then fit the pump nozzle to it.
