Wait for this, please sit down, Calor are £25.49 just to refill a 13kg propane bottle.
Then £34.25 to rent the bottle if you don't have one to replace.
I bought a 10kg bottle in France for €19.90 plus €1 for the bottle.
Spot the rip-off !

now that lot would make a pretty substantial bomb careful who you sell them toJust changing from a caravan to a motorhome & changing our home heating system so we have 3 x 6kg Calor bottles with some propane, 1 x 12.8kg almost full Go Master (refills in Bridgwater & Yeovil), 8 x full 47kg propane cylinders - 3 Go Master, 4 Flo Gas & 1 Calor -listed on eBay but can do a better price for any Funsters who can collect in Somerset! Hope that might be of use to someone out there...
I must admit I don't support Calor's expensive pricing, I think calling it a 'rip off' is too simplistic ... in mainland Europe I believe (correct me if I'm wrong!) that a lot more properties run off bottled gas, therefore the demand will be much greater and economies of scale may come more into play, thus reducing the prices. Just an thought.
OK, I'll accept rip-off may be a bit unfair.
Let me put it like this, to refill a Calor Lite at 6kg costs £22.35, the standard 6kg Calor propane is £19.99 to refill compared to €19.90 for 10kg of propane or butane in France.
Those are the prices without my opinion.
