Reading this one brings back memories..
In my previous life I've dealt with lpg fueled cars which caugh fire... They proved just about impossible to extinguish once the gas was burning... major concern was keeping the tank cool and extinguishing the fire when the gas was just about done lol..even if it had been possible to extinguish you create a whole new hazard as the gas cloud produced would create a whole new problem..
A construction site in the early hrs one morning kept us at a distance till the lpg cylinders had stopped popping,and on another occasion we had an oxygen or acetylene cylinder pass through the cab of the appliance which was parked up at a job... thankfully no one on board at the time...
Always nippy bumb time when compressed gas cylinders were involved ..... I'm giggling now I wasn't then...
