I changed the gas bottles over on site last weekend on site, so today i was going to replace the empty one (its the first time we have changed bottles) it feels to me there is still some left in is this normal? I did put it back on but the Alde control panel said empty

the blue light of doom on our alde heating panel generally means there is nothing left in the bottle.
there may be just some vapour but certainly no liquid and certainly not enough left to boil the kettle.

if the bottle feels to have liquid in then i suspect there could be a problem with the regulator although some bottles are slightly heavier than others in the same size for some reason.

hope this helps.

the only other explanation could be water in the cylinder if at sometime it has been left outside with its tap open waiting to be refilled.
do you have a gas bbq??? if so try the bottle on that.

The gas bottle should have the empty weight stamped on the label.

Not sure about the Aldi system but this is how you can test your regulator.

Turn on your gas rings, then turn on the heating, if the flames lower then very likely your regulator has given up. As said truama are crap, just replaced mine a few weeks ago for a CLESSE one on the advice of CLS, my last one went with the van when I sold it. Much better IMO. if you buy a gaslow reg, they are actually CLESE:thumb:

I have had 3 failures of Truama regs in 8 years
