Don't know why I keep laying down under my van, but I do, this time I decided to do something about the underside of the garage, which has taken quite a beating from the spray and stuff thrown up by the rear wheels, was going to use a non setting underbody seal, thought I would ask here first just in case.

Thanks

If the underside is plywood don't use an under seal intended for metals because this will not allow the wood to breathe and it will rot away quickly.

I am using Dekalin Dekaphon 9750 Underbody protection & wood primer. (Brush on). And Dekaphon 9735 Stoneguard for wooden floor panels (spray can).

Got them from RoadPro tel. 01327 312233 www.roadpro.co.uk

It's lovely to use and it's made for the job.

Good luck and enjoy fiddling about! (y)

Hymer have a special underseal for this, part of the six year warranty requirement is that it is recoated every year as part of the water ingress test. The warranty sticker is attached to the can.
All Hymer dealers should therefor have it in stock.

Hymer used Marine ply whilst most other manufacturers use exterior grade ply which is not the same thing. I believe Hymer may have stopped using ply on the underside of A class vehicles in 2013/2014.

Nearest Hymer dealer no help, said their workshop would need to assess what was required as van is so old (1999), they are 90 miles away

Brownhills were advertising some a while ago at a discounted price, maybe worth a call.
