Any info on where I can set up a wild camp for one overnight in Galloway forest with my camper van?

Plenty places along the New Galloway-Newton Stewart road, especially where the foresters have been extracting lumber. Also up beyond Glentrool.

Try near Clatteringshaws visitor center or at the red deer viewing point nice big carparks there.
