We are very quiet and retiring @jumar can you park us next to suitable neighbours please?

Hi, entertainment manager here, what type of cycling do you appreciate, MTB, Road or Electric, we currently have visitors who enjoy all three type, however I haven't seen many wheels turning of late. Thats about to change today.

Good morning.
MTB mostly but we have road tyres for the bikes too. I have visited the area before with a cycling company called Sporting Tours. In those days the owner Graham Baxter lived just down the road to you near the canal. Had a weeks brilliant cycling there, mind you I was a bit fitter then!! He cycling with us and took us up to the snow caves, Jesus on the hill, and lots of other places but I cannot remember the names. I do remember a track with very tight switch backs with steep drops waiting for you if you got it wrong

The trouble is we can only go out for about 4 hours max as we have a dog with us and don't like to leave her any longer than that.

Blazer, whats a Blazer.? Is that one of those Redcoat thingies ? If so no I don't have one of those. What I do have is a wine glass that never empties, just been on camperstop to help in a wine tasting session, I finally broke free and returned to our house for a rest.

Just a very brief update on proceedings, everyone appears to be have a very good stay, we organised a longish walk on the 24th, we lunched together on the 25th in a Spanish Restaurant, the weather has been kind enough for everyone to venture off to do their own thing, market, gas repairs, wine purchase.
Walk and lunch organised for 28th, great bunch of people who compliment the other nationalities we have staying here. New year get together arranged by them, with use of communal room, we are a trusting lot!!
We will not be here, out on the town with the owners and friends and families.

Hi Judith. Yep we are here, next to the ramp up to the next terrace, the van with the kayaks on the roof. We now have this sticker on the back too!

Currently tucked up in bed with a hot toddy.

Another good walk yesterday, our Undercover Funsters and other friends ventured off into the hills for a 3 hour walk followed by a 3 hour Menu de Dia. 12 of us in total plus 2 dogs. Great day out we enjoyed it, think they did also, now we have Armytwowheels in attendance and Jenben soon we are going to have even more fun.

Some visitors have Electric bikes, some have Mountain bikes, some have Hybrid Bikes, some even have Road bikes, So.........................................

We have organised a casual ride out together scheduled for this morning, lets see how we get on. Only doing 25 km more or less, route along the Traffic free canal and returning via the country lanes between Totana and Alhama, coffee stop planned half way round.

Festivities are arranged for tonight, self service on site, low key get together. We are off site sharing a meal with Paula and Angel. the children and many Spanish friends, returning to normal service tomorrow. Hopefully.

Another walk today "The Hidden Valley" walk. @Armytwowheels still in quarantine but we took a group of 10 to do this walk. We think they all enjoyed it! We ferried the walkers (in two trips) a few km into the park to save a bit of boring walking, but it can be walked directly from the camperstop.

Another lovely lazy day (for me) at Sierra Espuna. I have been allowed out of quarantine to join in the BBQ. A great afternoon of socialising and eating, perfect.

Today Paula took a small group of interested campers down to Totana for a short guided walk and a visit to the municipal Belen (nativity). It was enjoyed by all.

Well today's the day...........our small gathering are venturing off to pastures new, well some of them, Mr Chips and Armytwowheels (Now blistered) are staying a while longer.
Jenben should be with us towards the end of the week, and so should some others who contacted @jumartoo yesterday, The Fun remains.
We are totally delighted to have had their company over this festive period, a grand group who are welcome to return whenever they wish.
The weather has been so kind to them and us alike, high pressure after high pressure has made this wintertime, so far, one of the best we have had during the 17 years we have been in Spain. We hope that Funsters are enjoying themselves in Iberia and other locations, Great Stuff This Motorhoming Game.

Just to finish off, a photo of our last walk. The group wanted yet another menu del dia at the local restaurant and so we had to devise a walk we could all do from the camperstop and finishing at the restaurant. We took our van 2km along the canal so at the end Martin could ferry the dogs back to the camperstop, and bring their owners back, whilst the rest of us got started!

We walked up a dry river bed to La Santa and back down to a forest house before finishing down another dry river.
