Our van is 20+ years old and when we bought it in 2013, fully comp insurance was difficult to find in Spain, and we settle on Abbeygate Insurance on the Costa del Sol who were prepared to provide cover at reasonable rate. Perfectly acceptable service, no problems...... except for our trip to Morocco last winter ( Morocco 2013 thread), when they would only cover us for 2 weeks of planned 3 month trip.
Result? Change of insurer needed as we plan a return to Morocco again this winter. Began a search couple of weeks ago and am pleased to share the news that we have found the ideal cover today.
Insurer: Liberty Seguros in Fuengirola - Fully Comp
Extras: All glass covered and 24/7 breakdown cover wherever we are. Courtesy vehicle if needed
90 days Moroccan cover still on fully comp.
Price: €513.50 with €300 excess
Bargain !! Really over the moon with it and can now get down to the serious business of Morocco planning for the coming winter.
If any members resident in Spain want more info then let me know and I will PM details. Btw they speak perfect English in the ex pat dept.
