Interestingly.. Petrol is now cheaper in the UK than France .. Diesel still more expensive.

Petrol UK £1.359 France £1.49

Diesel UK £1.429 France £1.34

Hi All -
I travelled through France last week - supermarket diesel Euro 1.35 - 1.37. As always much more expensive on motorways.

I don't know where the Fuel Price Europe site gets its prices from but Diesel in France is available at €1.34 and Petrol at €1.53 - which are both considerably less than their quoted prices.

Paid £0.96 per lt in Gib a couple of weeks ago for diesel.

these are AVERAGE prices ...
prices will be higher on Auto-routes and Cities.. while lower in supermarkets

If you hover your mouse over the information box for whatever country it explains..

If you want cheap diesel.. visit Egypt .. €0.12 per litre !
