We have a Swift Bolero 680 FB on a Fiat chasiss. The problem is the fuel gauge is flashing and saying empty although it is full. The battery went flat while my husband was in hospital even stopped the clock could this have caused the problem any help would be appreciated

doubtful.....a known fault and the usual fix is to remove the instrument cluster, unplug it from the main wiring loom then reconnect.....

a fiat dealer will tell you it needs a new instrument cluster at £500...dont believe them.... many ducato owners will tell you what i just did....unplug and replug.

A quicker way of doing it is to either disconnect and reconnect the battery, or the plug with two thick red wires going into the front of the fusebox on the drivers side dashboard.
Hope this helps.
