Must admit the title of the forum drew me in. I'm in 'sad/recovery mode' at the moment as my beloved VW Campervan was driven away my its lovely new owners yesterday - but I take delivery of an 8 year old Autosleeper Broadway El Duo at the end of the month.
I know there will be some obvious comments about 'upgrading' but surprisingly to most the VW had heating that worked, never needed hook up as it had a stirling battery to battery charger installed, plus a gas oven, hidden tv/dvd and PAS and travelled the UK and europe. Yep, I started with a shell and some of the best folk around the country fitted it out and built and tuned new engines for me

So we are getting ready to start the next chapter in our adventures ... be nice to us, I'm sure this isn't the 'dark side' my former VW pals think it is!

We made a similar conversion in 2005 @Cotswoldiver and are now looking at moving to MH No 2. You'll be pleased to know that most MH drivers wave to each other as well, although not as many of them appear to surf :)

Thanks for the welcome.
We have the date set to pick up the Broadway at the end of the month, then another date to visit van bitz to sort out a couple of security issues a few weeks later - wouldn't have necessarily chosen them without the forum so thanks everyone -
the mourning period for the VW is almost over .... new chapter, and by the sounds of it a new bunch of life loving folk to meet
