I have 2 ponds one with fish and I never get frog spawn . It's not fair!
If you can obtain some spawn the resultant offspring will return each year to mate - it's what frogs do so you'll never be short of them again.

I have heard that but there does not seem to be much around here. I have also heard that's illegal to transport it from the wild. If anyone on the Suffolk Norfolk borders has any spare in their garden pond I would be grateful.

Frogspawn has been tadpoles now for a few days, there are thousands, possibly millions

but the fish know where they are

The blackbirds also really like them, but seem to let them develop a little in size before they bother with them

I am confident a good few will survive though (y)
