An update....

Thanks jhorsf for the link, from that we were able to contact dometic in spain (we were on route to the spanish grand prix and beyond) who directed us to a place just outside of Barcelona.
Not only did they agree to see us they stayed open late AND came to find us as the directions were a tad complicated, not cool when you are towing a car! They serviced the fridge, installed a new thermo coupling and also identified a problem with the selector switch (which was definitely faulty) so installed a new one.
Having said all that the fridge is still not completely fixed as the knob that you push in to start the fridge seems to be iffy, but they could not get one for two working days, but still it got us through a testing time.
Just need to find somewhere in the costa blanca that can finish the job now.:thumb:

you can email him on: andy@costablancamotorhomeservices

We were in spain earlier in the year and Andy did an excellent job replacing the low voltage element on our fridge. 'Highly recommended'

Same here-he fitted new RCD and then a few days later plumbed my fixed tank LPG system so that I could connect Spanish bottle :thumb:
Brilliant guy.

Mike.
