we are in sadnaria at moment ...lovely site
only getting 4amp on plug in hence the fridge is not working

i have checked it with generator and it works fine on that, 12v and gas

so how can i bypass the plug in and stay plug in but use the gas ...we need and would rather use our own supply and have the fridge cold

thanks for you help

Please correct me if I am wrong,, but are you saying the site electricis are not man enough to run your fridge?

If so, does`nt your fridge have separate switches to run it on 240v-12v or gas.

I am curious.

A Woosh bang
Hi

You said it worked ok on the genny.. sorry, not disbelieving you but are you absolutely sure ?

A 4amp supply is more than adequate to run a fridge, the supply voltage may be low, it quite often is on Spanish sites, I've measured it and seen it as low as 200v, but the fridge will still work, albeit not as good..

If it's not working on the EHU on this site or on others I suspect there is a fault on the fridge on the 230v side of things.

I don't know how yours is connected, some have a socket at the back you could unplug or maybe it has an ~ MCB you could switch off ? .. failing that it could be physically disconnected .. if you do this ensure the EHU is unplugged and no one can plug it in while you are working on the fridge.. you should be able to gain access through the fridge outside vent cover.

If you know were it is, or can find it by trial and error, pull the fuse for the fridge and it will than revert to gas on its own
