Can't open the RAC site

What does this mean for Foreign registered vehicles i.e. US
Best I can ascertain, buy a sticker that shows your van is compliant, or face a big fine! To be Honest, it only applies in cities, so not a big issue!

Just seen a similar article in the Daily Mail and posted a separate thread so it does seem legit, but only for major cities, with Paris leading the way

The enforcement of low emission zones and fining those who fail to display a sticker might be somewhat patchy unless Paris invests heavily in cameras and systems for issuing fines like London.

When Paris had smog lasting several days in December, they banned cars with odd and even number plates on alternate days from entering the city but many drivers ignored the ban, and risked a fine so they could get to work. As a result the actual reduction in the number of cars going into Paris was relatively small, nowhere near 50%, according to the French media.

It also included Lyon and Grenoblemhowever those with disabled badges are exempt from needing a vignette.

Guess that puts paid to our plans for Paris at Easter, the indigo campsite we were planning on using is right in the middle of the zone and our 2002 Euramobile is non compliant totally.

Well they've really thought it through ... camping cars are up to 3,500kgs only, over that and you fall into the truck/commercial vehicle category!
For some reason I couldn't get Minxy's RAC link to work, so trying again with this one:

Your link doesn't work either ... there must be something weird with the RAC site!
Interesting - I couldn't actually see anything wrong with your link. As you say, something odd with the RAC website.

Almost a Newbie but not quite now.
I have managed to view the site and found it lacking in information. The links given for finding out your class are not very clear.
This is a better link https://www.crit-air.fr/en.html although it seems to be charging 30 euros for the vignette

Errr I read 3€70 for the vignette it's here
https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F33371

For French vehicles it says
The certificate is then sent to the address shown on the vehicle registration card.
The period for issuing the certificate is approximately 30 days.
It includes a flash code with a digital signature to prevent fraud.
This certificate is charged € 3.70 , plus the amount of the delivery by mail. For delivery in France, this amounts to € 4.18 .
