Having done a quick google search I am unable to find a ordinance survey equivalent for France. We always use 1:25000 scale for walking and cycling off road. Does France have an equiverlent scale of map showing the same detail?

Also with regards to rights of way off road do they have a similar system to England I.e footpaths and bridle paths, or is it more like Scotland, or something different entirely?

Yes you cab buy em in French supermarkets. The equivalent to Ordnance Survey is IGN.
I bought the Memory Map for all of France for my GPS expensive £300 but superb!

Hi. Have a look at www.geoportail.fr ... 1:25000 & others + satellite view as well. 'Carte IGN' and 'Carte d'état major' worth googling. :thumb:

Thanks for this folks.
I now realise I can get the IGN maps on my View Ranger app too, which makes life a lot easier when out walking or cycling. ::bigsmile:
