Hi all, off to France soon. Along with the other accrutriments needed, I understand everyone also has to carry a breathaliser. Does anyone know where these can be purchased from? Happy daze:thumb:

They have to test for the European limit of 50Mg, not the UK's limit of 80Mg (70Mg?), so don't buy a UK self breath tester.

You can buy them from ebay.fr if you want (Alcooltest, Ethylotest), but there also are UK sellers that sell the disposable ones with a 50Mg limit.

Even when the fines start November 1st it's only €11 so could just as well wing it and not bother. They have a shelf life as well 2yrs I believe so I'd wait till the end of October if going then or the next time you are after that

Actually the tests were in the medication section, this was a Carrefour.

You can buy them on the ferry - we got some on the Roscoff to Plymouth ferry last week.
You have to search for them though
