    Talking to a guy on the ferry who told me about this story

    He lives near by and said it is being well used and appreciated... (y) and not abused at the moment.... but..

    The locals are up in arms about it...... so dont know how long it will last...:(

    some may find it handy for a cheap break,,, as long as you have a blue badge.. and like Hayling Island... (y)

    For locals read campsite and guest house owners who are councillors or their chums who are.

    Not sure what the situation is now, Mo, but the report is from June 2012. If I remember correctly it was because of the beach hut owner's complaints that the charge went up.
