I think the heating you mention are widespread being fitted on most motorhomes
as I understand there three models ...Truma 4...Truma 6 ...Truma 6 EH and I think it is only the latter the 6EH that is gas and Electric... what model do you have :Eek!: little more info may help the funsters help you....does your controler have any lights on,.. is there a fuse have you checked

    Hi Dennis
    cant help with the heating,
But as for the Sat dish
Any form of manual alignment is a true Black art, you could play around for days and get knowhere with it, however once and I mean once shown you will be able to locate astra 2 with your eyes shut.
Read as much for as long as you like, till your shown it will seem like a lost cause
If it helps wev'e all been there:RollEyes:

Hi Denis, have you now connected you dish etc in the correct order.
    dish-satfinder-box-tv
You will find the main sats are in 2 different elevations
hotbird will be set approc 10 deg higher than Astra.
So switch on your TV/Box etc and go to the setup menu, setup antenna, make sure you can change between the various stats and see the signal strengths on the screen. Turn the dish until you receive max signal. then adjust elevation for max signal, a starting point of 22 degs is good for Astra and 30 deg for Hotbird.
when your sat finder is at maximum, check through the sat signal strength for individual sats
note which one is giving the best reading. (You could mark the position with a pencil on the shaft and clamp to give you a referance point. If it is hotbird then change the elvation to a lower number , deduct 10degs for a start, then turn the dish very slowly anti clockwise until you reach the next peak. Check and mark only the clamp this time (in line with the pole mark). continue this until you find Astra, it is around 20 deg anticlockwise from hotbird. As a starting point I use 30deg el for hotbird and 20 for Astra. Depends where you are but the relationship remains constant. find one and it gives you an idea where the other is.
As a rough guide point the dish at the sun at 10am and you will not be far from Astra. (Alan laneside will tell you if that is BST or GMT, hee hee)
