The 'CamperContact' app for your smartphone or tablet is very good for aires, campsites and motorhome parking. Apparently covers more than 20,000 locations in 40 countries. Believe there's a very limited free version, but the full monty costs €5.99 (around £5 sterling), and is the one to use.

We toured around Brittany last August and found it really useful.

'All the Aires: France' from Vicarious Books is popular - believe there's a new edition due to be published in March, so might be worth waiting.

If you may end up in other countries Bordatlas which is in German is a very good resource. Even though its in German its easy to understand.

That's what I would like to know as seems to only be for off season
Well not peak season. It varies but I'd bet most places are not available in August.
Aires are the way to go. Like an app? Campercontact. Like a book? 'All the Aires '

Yes, the French sites start to begin accepting the ACSI card from about 24th August, but plenty more not valid until early September. Each site determines its own qualifying dates.

But, unfortunately, for most of August (and much of July) ACSI discounts will not be available.
