Can anyone confirm if there are any specialists that stock machanical parts for the Ford E450,I'm not in need of anything at present but if the parts are difficult to obtain then I might stock up on things like Filters, Pads etc,but could do with knowing where to get say an exhaust.Cheers Nic

Exhausts are cheaper and better to have one made in stanless steel that will last the life of the vehicle.

They are actually cheaper to have made in stainless steel than to import the original mild steel parts from USA.:thumb:

Hi
I have an E450 Super Duty. I havent needed to buy any parts for my engine etc but I am lead to believe that because its a Ford, parts are not too difficult to get hold off.

In saying that Ive found Ford UK to be totally useless. Their ok for selling transit vans.

Things like wing mirrors are difficult, if you want to match the original mirror you have to shop around the ARV dealerships to find one or go to somebody like Star Spangled Spanner or Stateside Tuning etc. who will scource one for you

There has never been a problem with consumables when Ive had a service. The one thing I would get spares for are light bulbs. You dont want to be trawling the web looking for a light bulb when one goe on you.

Try:

http://www.americanvehicleparts.co.uk/

They stock parts for all types of American vehicles. If they have not got what you need in stock they can get it from the USA within a week. They have a shipment arrive in the UK every Friday.

All they need to know is your vehicle VIN and what parts you require.

I have used them a couple of times when Stateside Tuning were unable to help. Excellent service on both occasions.

Hi all on subject of Ford Superduty i have 1999 7.3 d has any one ever changed the fuel filter, as far as i can see its so far back in the engine that you have to remove the air filter and turbo pipes or is it easier to do from the cab which ever for a part that needs to changed it is in the worst possible place. Thanks to anyone who can help.
