Morning all

After watching the news this morning, I think I will be hunting for a flood damaged motorhome!

If the right one turns up it could be a big saving, ok it will require some work but that's all part of the fun!

I wouldnt touch anything with flood damage above under floor height.

too much unsealed furniture board and too many holes in the floor to ensure no long term damp/delamination problems.

good luck with that one.

most of the time water ingress spells the end of many a good van personally i wouldn't go down that route but each to their own.

Flood damage is not just water damage but usually effluent soaking every part of the vehicle it touches.

Expect a bit of a stink by mid-summer!

And you won't get rid of the smell however you try.

Best of luck - but please don't park your MH too close to mine!

Well your all thinking bad of it so the prices will be good!

A friend of mine bought a Maserati quattroporte for the price of a worn out focus a couple of weeks ago.

It had damp carpets....... Started, drives, seats didn't even get wet:whatthe:

I think the insurance accessors are getting a little trigger happy.

I wasn't thinking of a deep sea rescue more a drive into a puddle and bent rods:Doh:

You will probably find they want nearly as much for the water damage vans as you can pick undamaged one's up for :winky: Avoid unless really, really cheap :thumb:

Seats did not get wet.

Not exactly flood damage then.

And you will not eat, drink, wash and sleep in a Maserati.

Normally. !........

You had better be quick, i know of at least two of our so called reputable dealers
who are aleeady active with bids.
They always buy a few and my collegue sorts them out
the best he can within his allocated budget from the dealer.
There reasoning is with a 12 month warranty any damp
will not always show so when it does tthe warranty period
us finished and the customer has the problem.
