Hi, we have had Molly for 2 years now and hopefully this years will put a lot more miles on her but I have noticed that a piece of foam has worked itself loose from the cowling/canopy below the sleeping compartment (above the windscreen) and the whole canopy can be pulled down about an inch.
I did email the pictures to a Motorhome outlet and they said they would probably fix it with some Silkaflex but that doesn't sound like a proper fix to me.
Can anyone advise on the best course of action please?
I am a newbie to all this & Molly is our first Motorhome )

Flappy bit of foam above taken from front passenger side.

Right hand side front view showing cowling, is it meant to have a fastner in the hole as I can pull the unit down an inch?

Left hand side front view showing cowling.

Molly )

Sikaflex IS a proper fix. A bodge would be to do it with duct tape!

Ask any motorhomer!:)

45 +years with breaks
I'm mystified why anyone would want to Sikaflex (Glue for the Novices out there) What appears to be a removable "Cowling" what is it covering ?? why does it appear removable?
Yes you do have a missing screw on one side and what looks like a broken or enlarged screw hole on the other
a simple repair to the enlarged screw hole and two new screws will sort it properly
when you remove it to fix the broken hole re fit a new foam seal ie draught excluder for instance and then re fit That would be a proper repair
I think Sikaflex would be a bodge too
