Here's a couple of pics of me with a couple of carp I caught in France last year. The lake pic was 52 lb 8oz and the bank one was 40 something. Ellis is perhaps a tad on the small side to land fish of this size on his own. The other pic is of my son in law and partner in crime with a 44lb common.

A commercial fishery Called Edens Lakes its down near Mont Lucon. English owned and run by a manager on their behalf, who knows what he is doing. My Son in Law is mates with him and has been going there for some time now I usually visit if we are in the area, I generally sit over someone's rods for a day or so, but last year decided to have a full week there.

They have a web site full of info prices, pics etc, you will see my ugly mug on there a couple of times in one I am holding a Sturgeon from one of the lakes.

Those carp were caught on North Lake, its a very difficult water even Dean the manager can't get his head round it. There are roughly 90 fish in 4.5 acres of water they show terrific growth rates in there so there is a lot of natural food in there.

When we fished it last August the weather that week was very cold and we also had a bit of rain, so it may have slowed the fishing a bit. But having said that my son in law always says anymore than one fish a week is a bonus on that lake.

I think he caught four fish in three visits there last year.

That fish known as the Box came out three times last year Adam Penning caught her in May at 56lb 8oz a last gasp job when they were packing up he had not had a run all the week LOL, me in August at 52lb 8oz then Dean caught her in October on his Birthday again back up to 56lb 8oz.

Try fishing the Mosel. The dams are very good to fish. You just need to be 70/100 yards from the back eddies the dams produce on the opposite side from where the boats go through. The water runs very fast and fish with a 15/20 gram plug with 15/20 lb line. Best fish so far 10.5 lb some sort of ghost carp with very large mouth and 5lb Brown trout. It is possible to catch 6 x 6lb plus fish in 7 casts. It takes a few goes to get it right but once you have the knack it is really fighting fun. Have shown a few English how its done. None of them have failed. No good if the water is cloudy after rain.
