Great town isn't it?
Visit Hondarribia, just up the coast north of Irun. The Aire is now commercially run but again, the area is very nice.

It is a bit of a carpark but when I was there is April it was only €4.5 including water and its only about a 1km from the beach of what is a beautiful town/city. We spent extra nights as it was so nice.
I was impressed by the town council for supplying it as I am sure they are not short on tourists.

Nice enough aire and it is Spain after all, check out some French ones and you will find some gems.

If you're down there for a couple of days head up to Col d'Iberdin. Its a duty free shopping area on the top of the mountains on the French/Spanish border. And the views from up there over the bays are amazing!!

Not a million miles away is the aire in Valladolid and it IS a carpark! But you don't go there for the camping experience, the attraction for us were the bars serving good tapas within a short stagger.

A tidy aire, we usually stop there for our 2nd night on our way down to Spain, nice little tapas bar across the road with good free wifi and they let you use the mains points for charging if you ask nicely . Make sure you have a selection of coins for the parking machine, beware as some bays are reserved for buses, and you will get satellite reception from most of the front row bays.

Looks like a nice place to stop, last time I was in San Sabastian was 1981 only their for a day but remember it was a nice interesting town. Going to Portugal next winter may stop off there.

An 'aire (de campingcar)' is simply the MH equivalent to a car park (most offering some services not needed by cars, and most with time restrictions) - they are not holiday pitches.

Hi we have parked there ,good to get into the town. We went onto Lekeito further west ,on a little slope but no problem, beautiful little fishing village. Enjoy yourselves
