The attractive features of this product are that a small one is as effective as a large standard fire extinguisher, the resulting gas is not harmful to people or pets & it won't cause any lasting damage as it leaves no residue. On an engine this could mean avoiding the huge cost of total replacement. Firetool is expensive compared to standard fire extinguishers so down to individual choice if it is worth it to you. We bought two last year at the NEC & keep one in the cab & one in the hab area
