Fiat X250 Issue with spare wheel carrier (1 Viewer)

I can't see this posted as yet.

I picked this up from the Link Removed, but it appears there may be an issue with the spare wheel carrier failing when winding down the wheel, requiring the cable to be cut in order to release the wheel. Not something you would want to find out roadside. It appears Fiat are aware of the issue and affected carriers are replaced under warranty.

my van went in for service yesterday asked them to check spare wheel carrier .
found it was faulty they have ordered a new one under warranty :thumb:

Yes, my X250-based motorhome was supplied without a spare wheel, just a can of slime and a 12 volt pump.

Anyone know how much it is to get a spare wheel fitted by Fiat?

Problem with a spare wheel on mine would be the reduction in the load carrying capacity because of it
