Fiat dealers in Shropshire? (1 Viewer)

Just swapped our van for a new Rapido on a Fiat.

Am getting a bit concerned about something maybe I should have checked before - ie where is there a Fiat dealer near where we live (S. Shropshire)??? I perhaps naively assumed the Shrewsbury Fiat dealer would be OK but I now gather they do not do motorhomes.

The nearest might be Stoke on Trent - miles away!!

Anyone know?

If your model is low profile, and it is warranty work, then T J Vickers in Shrewsbury could be the one.

If its non warranty work, then you could try Moran motorhome services at Ludlow.

We use Dave Newall for mechanical and habitation and Shropshire Automotive Servici Sheldon,3 A Badgers Way Oxon Buisness Park, Shrewsbury SY3 5AL 01743 360370 for mot. When we were under waranty we had to travel to Guest's trucks wolverhampton (fiat) that was our closest. Hope this helps, we to didn't realise when we bought our van from our local dealer that they would not do the mechanical side of things so ended up traveling a lot of miles just to get this work done.:Sad:

Ours is a Ford, and out of warranty, but we use Dave Newell for both vehicle and habitation service. If you want MOT at same time, he'll book you in with Kwikfit who are next door to him.

MOT & Service Herefordshire & Shropshire

Just joined and can pass on that 'Charlies Auto Repair Service' in Leominster currently charge £29.95 for an MOT and can take motorhomes. Doubt he can deal with RV's but he assures me he can MOT mine, which is 7m. He is also going to service it for £100!

Errr, we've only taken ours to the Fiat dealer for a) the very first service (we didn't know about Alan then) and b) for warranty work. It's hardly an imposition as Research Garage the Fiat place is only a few minutes away. However getting Alan from DMS to nip round and do it on our drive of an evening is far easier and far more sociable !

Surely you are no longer limited to the dealers for straightforward servicing issues? on any vehicle, m'home or not?

My motorhome is older and not covered by a manufacturer warranty and as you rightly assume I don't need main dealers. However, I do have a warranty that requires servicing to be carried out by a VAT registered trader and let's face it £100 for a base vehicle service is very good value. All I have to do now is get the caravan bit done. Can't say I envy you your bill, which I found never seemed never to give much change out of £500 in total! We're off to Spain for Christmas so hope the weather is better than when we went a couple of years ago.

Don't go to guest motors in wolverhampton, they ripped us off! Brettell lane don't take overcabs and Moran are great, speak to Roger Moran, lovely chap!
