Sometime ago I fitted a rear view camera to my motorhome . This is the type that fits over the rear view mirror, I duly ran the power cables back of concertina blinds, down inside the door pillar molding ,under the glovebox with a view to wiring it into the cig lighter which works off the ignition unlike the radio which is always live.The question is, how do you get into the dashboard? I thought you may be able to get at the cables by removing the cover above the central glovebox, but no way, any ideas the easiest way to hard wire this up. The van is a 2009 ducato.:helpsos:

hi there is a torx screw under the rubber mat inside the ashtray/can holder
gently pull the gearstick gator surround and it should release then its just a case of remove the torx screw and gently ease the centre switch surround including cig lighter/s out.
