Fiat 2.8jtd exhaust system (1 Viewer)

Has anyone had any experience of obtaining new parts for the exhaust system of a FIAT 2.8JTD .

Went to Bournemouth for the weekend to watch the Air Show, which turned out to be a washout because of the weather. On the way down the front pipe broke at the joint to the front silencer and started to drag on the ground.

Managed to get to the campsite and effected a temporary repair and removed the offending part on return home this afternoon.

I need to replace the front pipe that links the downpipe/manifold to the front silencer, however, everyone I have seen so far has a cat convertor fitted and mine doesn't.

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

Mine went the other week. Very easy thing to do yourself. My van does not have a cat either.

I got the pipe off e bay and the day before fitting sprayed all the nuts/bolts with WD40 and left overnight.

Next day put the front of the van up on the levelling ramps and then the job took about three quarters of an hour.

Very satisfying when done.
