Today I removed a faulty Dometic B2200 AC unit as the electrics went duff and replaced with a Fiamma fan unit. An idea proffered by @Don Quixote (y)
Like this but from a much cheaper seller
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAMMA-CR...an-fan-boat-/131409081812?hash=item1e989775d4

Nice kit and very powerful.
The GRIPE is that the instruction call for 20 x 4.2x30 long screws and naturally as outside they need to be stainless steel although Fiamma don't say as much.
THEY DONT INCLUDE THEM IN THE KIT
How stupid / ridiculous it that?

Also the inner section requires 8 other screws 3.2x15 and it does not say NOT SUPPLIED but they are missing.

The instructions claim 3 amps on max speed and I verified this to be correct with a little fluctuation of 0.2 amps either side (y)

Did you see it in the B2B swap too?

It's so good that Jonathan of JMR caravan care has ordered one too after seeing it yesterday while fixing my fridge :p

I've just had one removed from my new van to enable the fitting of an AC unit
Never really got to use it much, but it looked good.

BTW if anyone is interested in a non working B2200 that seems to be a circuit board failure/ cooling unit is fine.
The owners @gailsunnymeed will be looking for offers ON £500 collected.
I believe a board is in excess of £200

This could well be ideal for any B2200 owner who has different parts that have expired and could be tested with your circuit board.

Not long enough, but a little common sense helps..........
Andy, I removed the same aircon unit yesterday from ours and fitted same fan unit in it's place. I to got a bit annoyed that no screws were provided, but used stainless steel ones I had. I will be posting "for sale" the working aircon unit here soon to be collected in Spain ( I can deliver local ish.... ) How are @gailsunnymeed getting on with it?
